- Origin
- Plantar surfaces of the cuboid and lateral cuneiform
- Insertion
- Both sides of the base of the proximal phalanx of the great toe (via the sesamoids)
- Nerve
- Medial plantar nerve (S2-S3)
Actions
- Flexes the proximal phalanx of the great toe
