- Origin
- Ribs 3-5 near their costal cartilages
- Insertion
- Medial border and superior surface of the coracoid process
- Nerve
- Medial pectoral nerve (C8-T1)
Actions
- Stabilises the scapula by drawing it anteriorly and inferiorly against the thoracic wall
- Anteriorly tilts and downwardly rotates the scapula

- A short pectoralis minor is associated with reduced scapular posterior tilt; the unilateral corner stretch lengthened it most.
